Dhankar Lake

It is a popular hike in Spiti Valley. When you visit Dhankar Monastery, it is a treat to immerse in the geography of the place. Dhankar was the old capital Of Spiti. The tribulations during the historical era tried to vanish the subsistence of Dhankar. But the positivity, and eminence has kept its sanity intact till date. Dhankar Lake takes you to a serene location in the Spiti Valley. It is a place to witness a green barren landscape with a lake, making it a complete cinematic scene. The lake is located at a distance of 45 minutes from the main village of Dhankar. The way starts after taking a right turn before the monastery and walking further you will reach the top of a ridge. This is not going to be the only ridge you will be walking atop, after crossing a few more ridges you will reach the most awaited destination of the hike. The beautiful turquoise-coloured water of the lake is enough to fill your soul with serenity and calmness. After sitting here for a while, it’s time to return with a feeling of gratefulness in your heart for being here. 

Chandartal Lake Hike

Chandartal or the “Moon Lake” is situated at an altitude of 4240m. The hike starts from Kunzum Pass, it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach the point. Chandartal Lake is a majestic lake with panoramic views of Spiti Valley. Chandartal Lake is one of the rarest destinations in the Himalayas.  

Key to Gete Village Hike

Gete village is situated on the other side of key monastery , you can say a on the hill behind the Spiti Valley. Once you start hiking, you will get the aerial shot of the key monastery. A gradual descend will lead you towards Gete village and it is surely like a portal to reach the serene corner of the Spiti Valley.

Kibber to Kanamo Base Camp

Kibber village is situated in the outskirts of Kaza. It is base camp to the most exiquisite treks in the trans himalayan ranges. You can acces Kanamo peak trek and Parang La trek from Kibber . Kibber is a very quiet village , the population is small and the traditional mud brick houses with white walls gives an undefying charm to the village.

Great Wall of Dhankar

When you reach Komic and take a brisk walk towards the barren desereted area and if you get interested in walking more. You can take a right turn and after a continuous walk of 20-30 minutes you will see yourself standing on the top of enourmous great wall of Dhankar .It is the point from where you can see different villages of spiti valley . It gives an aerial view of 18-20 small villages of Spiti Valley.
